Opening the net
CQ CQ CQ, all amateur radio operators. Calling together all for the Suffolk County Radio Club Weekly Net. This is (Your Call Sign and Name), your net control station for this session. Before continuing with this net, is there any station with an Emergency or a Priority please come now?
(pause) note: If there is Emergency or Priority traffic, turn repeater over to them till duration of the E or P.
If at any time during the net there is an emergency say “Emergency” twice and the net will be handed over to you for the duration of the emergency.
Good evening everyone we meet every Wednesday night at 20:00 Hours on the W2DQ repeater with a PL tone of 136.5 Hz. We will have local discussions, technical questions, swap n shop items, upcoming events, and any other item as wished by our net log-ins.
We encourage all licensed operators to check into this net. You do not have to be a member of the Suffolk County Radio Club to join in the net. This is a MODERATED NET, and we ask that you do not break into or leave the NET without first notifying net control.
When checking into the NET key up, and wait a second before, saying Net Control Please Copy followed by your call sign twice, your name and whether you have any traffic for the net.
I will take EchoLink check ins after our regular net check ins. At this time I will now stand by for our regular net check ins including those on AllStar.
