The club hosted another guest speaker this month, Mike KD2UWR, who presented a comprehensive and informative talk on POTA operations. He touched on all aspects of the activity including terminology (hunter / activator), registering at https://pota.app, discussed optional logging programs (Mike’s favorite is HAMRS – find it at https://hamrs.app/), radio gear required. Mike is a minimalist and operates at about 3W typically with his uSDX and end-fed antenna, and he prefers to hike in to activate parks if weather and time allow. Everyone really enjoyed his talk!
