The Suffolk County Radio Club participated in the Winter Field Day event on January 27th. The club setup in the club communications trailer in the parking lot of the clubhouse. Many members attended and worked stations across the US and around the World. Members utilized 4 stations for over 6 hours of continuos operaion. The modes used were SSB and Winlink on 2, 10, 20 and 40m. The event was well attended and was a huge success as described by all. Senior members as well as new members were operating, even some members for their forst time on HF. Together we made over 200 contacts that day. The event was also featured on the Youtube channel Ham Radio on the Go, which is created by SCRC’s own club member Joe Franolich, WI2M. You can check out the video by clicking here..
Thanks to all who came and helped with setup, operation and tear down. SCRC is a Team!
